GGHA is looking for energetic team players who are eager to
make a positive contribution to our family friendly swim programs.

What are the job requirements? 
 
*** All applicants under 18 are required to obtain a work permit *** 
 
Lifeguard Applicants - Starting pay is $16.50/hour 
Must be at least 15 1/2 years old and Lifeguard certified by May 23rd.
 
The appropriate lifeguard certification course for Glenmoor Gardens is the
American Red Cross Lifeguard course.  
 
Shallow Water Lifeguard certifications will NOT be accepted.
 
Swim Instructor Applicants - Starting pay is $18.00/hour
Must be at least 15 years and preferably Lifeguard certified or
minimally CPR & First Aid certified by June 1st.
 
For all certifications.....
Online Certifications and Re-certifications are NOT Accepted
All certifications and re-certifications must be completed as part of an in-person/in-water/in-class course.
American Red Cross Blended Learning courses are accepted.

Where can I get Lifeguard certified? 
 
Glenmoor Gardens is excited to announce we will offer the
American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification course
at Meyer Pool if needed.
 
Class date, cost, and registration information will be provided
when requested by an applicant.
   
 
Several other local organizations usually offer American Red Cross lifeguard certification
and recertification courses in the coming months. 
Happy Fish Swim School, Hayward Plunge , and Palo Alto Swim Club
are just a few of these organizations. 
You can also check with the American Red Cross to find a local class.
 
It is your responsibility to ensure
you are registering for the appropriate certification course!

Where can I get CPR/First Aid certified? 
 
GGHA is excited to announce we will also offer 
the CPR/First Aid course required for GGHA swim instructors
if needed.
 
This course is a 3-4 hour class.
Class date, cost, and registration information will be provided
when requested by an applicant.
 
 
CPR & First Aid certifications can be obtained by taking a certification course
from any authorized agency.
 
You can also check with the American Red Cross to find a local class.
 
Courses must be completed as part of an in-person/hands-on class.
Online certifications will NOT be accepted.

All new applicants and returning staff must complete and submit an application to the GGHA office.  
Completed applications can be dropped through the mail slot in the office door at your convenience,
