GGHA is looking for energetic team players who are eager to
make a positive contribution to our family friendly swim programs.

What are the job requirements? 
 
Lifeguard Applicants 
Must be at least 15 1/2 years old and Lifeguard certified by May 27th.
 
The appropriate lifeguard certification course for Glenmoor Gardens is the
American Red Cross Lifeguard course.  
 
Shallow Water Lifeguard certifications will NOT be accepted.
 
Swim Instructor Applicants 
Must be at least 15 years and preferably Lifeguard certified or
minimally CPR & First Aid certified by June 5th.
 
For all certifications.....
Online Certifications and Re-certifications are NOT Accepted
All certifications and re-certifications must be completed as part of an in-person/in-water/in-class course.
American Red Cross Blended Learning courses are accepted.

Where can I get Lifeguard certified? 
 
Glenmoor Gardens is excited to announce we are offering the
American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification course at Meyer Pool in June.
 
Class Dates & Times
Date Time
Thurs, 6/8/23 9 am - 3 pm
Fri, 6/9/23 9 am - 3 pm
Sat, 6/10/23 9 am - 6 pm
Sun, 6/11/23 10 am - 6 pm
 
This course is a blended learning class and currently open to GGHA applicants.
Cost of course is $250.
   
 
Several other local organizations offer American Red Cross lifeguard certification
and recertification courses in the coming months. 
Happy Fish Swim School, Hayward Plunge , The Dublin Wave, and Palo Alto Swim Club
are just a few of these organizations. 
You can also check with the American Red Cross to find a local class.

Where can I get CPR/First Aid certified? 
 
GGHA is excited to announce we will also be offering 
the CPR/First Aid course required for GGHA swim instructors in May.
 
This course is a 3-4 hour class.
Class date, cost, and registration information is available to our applicants.
 
 
CPR & First Aid certifications can be obtained by taking a certification course
from any authorized agency.
 
You can also check with the American Red Cross to find a local class.
 
Courses must be completed as part of an in-person/hands-on class.
Online certifications will NOT be accepted.

 Plan to complete your certification or recertification 
Now  Employment applications are due in the GGHA Office
3/25/23  Interview with GGHA (new applicants)
May  Attend Employee Orientation (date TBD)
May 27  Complete your certification!
 
All new applicants and returning staff must complete and submit an application to the GGHA office.  
Completed applications can be dropped through the mail slot in the office door at your convenience,
or emailed to ggha.fran@yahoo.com
