Calling all Lifeguards and Swim Instructors for 2018!
Are you a high school or college student interested in a summer job close to home? 
Are you a team player who likes to be around the water? 
Look no further for your summer job as GGHA is now accepting applications for
lifeguards, swim instructors, assistant pool pool manger, and assistant swim lesson manager
 for the 2018 summer season.

What are the job requirements? 
Lifeguard Applicants 
Must be at least 15 1/2 years old and Lifeguard certified by May 25th.
Swim Instructor Applicants 
Must be at least 15 years and preferably Lifeguard certified or
minimally CPR & First Aid certified by May 25th.
Assistant Pool Manager and Assistant Swim Lesson Manager
If you are interested and qualified to work as an
Assistant Pool Manager or Assistant Swim Lesson Manager, 
please contact the GGHA Office at 510-797-7600 for more information.

Where can I get certified? 
Lifeguard Certification:
The appropriate lifeguard certification course for Glenmoor Gardens is
the American Red Cross Lifeguard course.  
Shallow Water Lifeguard certification will NOT be accepted.

Several local organizations offer American Red Cross lifeguard certification and recertification courses over spring break and in the coming months.  American Safety Academy, Happy Fish Swim School, Hayward Plunge , and Calphin Aquatic Club are just a few of the organizations that offer Lifeguard certification training and recertification.  You can also check with the American Red Cross to find a local class.
CPR & First Aid Certification
CPR & First Aid certifications can be obtained by taking a certification course from any authorized agency.
Courses must be hands-on/in-class courses - online certifications will not be accepted.
Online Certifications NOT Accepted
All certifications and re-certifications must be completed as part of an in-person/in-water/in-class course -
online certifications and re-certifications can not be accepted.
Be sure to get your certification certificate upon completion of the course!

How do you apply?
Now Plan to complete your certification or recertification class(s) by 5/25/18
Now Download and complete an employment application now!
Now Turn in your completed application to the GGHA office.
Now Interview with GGHA
5/20/18 Staff Orientation Meeting (1 - 3:30 pm)
5/21/18 Swim Instructor Training (5 - 6:30)
5/22/18 New Employee Welcome Meeting (6 - 6:30 pm)
5/25/18 Complete certification/recertification
All new applicants and returning staff must complete and submit an application to the GGHA office.  
Completed applications can be dropped off in person during our normal business hours
or dropped through the mail slot in the office door at your convenience.  
Our office is located at 38350 Alta Drive Fremont, CA  94536.  
Both new and returning applicants will be interviewed. 
Those away at college will be interviewed by phone.
Be sure to plan ahead and complete your lifeguard and CPR certification or recertification by May 25th.
